Neben seinen stilbildenden Porträts, Partybildern und Stillleben, mit denen er in den 1990er-Jahren bekannt wurde, haben Wolfgang Tillmans (*1968 in Remscheid) schon früh abstraktere Motive beschäftigt. In konsequenter Weiterentwicklung entstanden im vergangenen Jahrzehnt vollkommen ungegenständliche, Belichtungsprozess und Bildträger thematisierende Arbeiten. Von den feinen Farbschlieren der Blushes und Freischwimmer über die Paper Drops, die gerolltes Fotopapier als skulpturales, geheimnisvolles Objekt präsentieren, bis zu den farblich fesselnden Arbeiten der Lighter-Serie wird das der Abbildfunktion weitestgehend enthobene Foto selbst zum Kunstobjekt, wie das vorliegende, vom Künstler selbst gestaltete Buch eindrucksvoll demonstriert.Das Werk von WOLFGANG TILLMANS (*1968, Remscheid) fordert seit über 30 Jahren immer wieder die Möglichkeiten des Bildermachens heraus. Seine Praxis verbindet Intimität mit Sozialkritik und dem Hinterfragen bestehender Werte und Hierarchien. Nachdem er in den frühen 1990er-Jahren durch seine stilbildenden Fotografien der Jugend- und Populärkultur bekannt wurde, hat sich sein Werk auf die verschiedensten Genres und fotografischen Praktiken hin erweitert. Er wurde 2000 mit dem Turner Prize, 2015 mit dem Hasselblad Award und 2018 mit dem Goslarer Kaiserring ausgezeichnet. Tillmans lebt und arbeitet in London und Berlin.

Better than expected
This thing is great. I wasn't sure what to expect for the price, but it exceeded my expectations in every way. I have no complaints, quality is fine, the grind is fine, it's easy to use. I've used mine every day since I purchased it and it works good as new. This is my first manual burr grinder, so there could very well be better ones out there, but I am very happy with this purchase.

A good little grinder for small batches.
It's a good quality grinder, I use mine for my moka pot since the grind needs to be specific. It's very easy to use and its small enough to store away. The only issue is it takes some time and effort to grind for more than one person, so keep that in mind if you're brewing anything more than a cup of espresso or a moka pot. I've dropped mine more than I can count so store on its side (although its very sturdy and was not broken) A solid product.

Works very well as a pill grinder!
One of the clients I work with needs his pills crushed and dissolved. We have relied on the spoons method for years but some of his newer medications don’t crush well enough using that method. We tried the basic plastic pill crushers but they tend to get gummed up and don’t actually pulverize the pills. This fit our needs perfectly and the pills get crushed into a fine powder with ease. It is very easy to use and clean and takes very little effort to operate (at least for pills).

Great Little Grinder — Solid Build & Easy to Use!
I’ve really enjoyed using this manual coffee grinder! For the price, it’s an excellent find. The adjustable settings work surprisingly well — I’ve been able to get a consistent grind whether I’m brewing for espresso or French press, which isn’t always the case with more affordable manual grinders. The ceramic burr gives a nice, even grind without overheating the beans, which helps preserve the flavor.
It’s easy to use and straightforward to adjust. The grind size clicks into place firmly, so you don’t feel like it’s going to slip or change while you’re using it. One fill gives me enough coffee for about two cups, which is perfect for my morning routine or when I’m brewing a small batch.
