Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman, Gregory Crewdson, Paul McCarthy oder Pawel Althamer stehen beispielhaft für diese Tendenz. Traum und Trauma präsentiert eine Vielzahl eindrücklicher Werke dieser und anderer Künstler aus der Sammlung Dakis Joannou, dem Gründer der Deste Foundation für zeitgenössische Kunst in Athen.
