Vom Destillerie Manager John Campbell höchst persönlich kreiert, repräsentiert der Lore eine beeindruckende Retrospektive der Laphroaig-Destillier-Kunst. Entstanden ist er aus Whiskys, die in einer Kombination verschiedener Fässer reiften (u.a. Quarter Casks, Sherry-Casks und ex-Bourbon-Casks). 

  • Nase: Voluminös, rauchig, maritim, mit Nuancen von Holzkohleasche und Bitterschokolade, gefolgt von Vanille und rohen Kastanien, begleitet von Buttergebäck und einer malzigen Süße. Etwas Wasser fügt dem Duftspektrum noch eine cremige und eine leichte Zitrusnote hinzu.
  • Gaumen: vollmundig und reichhaltig, knackiger Torf, roter Chilipfeffer, dabei sehr mild
  • Finish: langer, zuerst trockener und dann interessant-süßer Abschied vom Gaumen
