Die legendäre Szene um Dichter wie Frank O'Hara und Künstler wie Jackson Pollock zog den jungen Ron Padgett (*1942) nach seiner Schulzeit nach New York. Dort fand er sein poet's paradise. Nach Abschluss des Studiums bereiste er ab 1965 zunächst Frankreich, dann auch England, Deutschland, Belgien und die Niederlande. Spätere Lesereisen führten ihn bis nach Finnland und auf die Faröer Inseln. Italien und besonders Venedig ist ein immer wieder aufgesuchtes Ziel, an dem die Veränderungen des eigenen Erlebens spürbar werden. Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert in Prosatexten und Gedichten seine Reisen nach Westeuropa von den frühen nnäherungen an die Wurzeln der Amerikanischen Moderne bis zu den Auftritten auf europäischen Festivals als gefeierter Autor der Gedichte des Busfahrers in Jim Jarmuschs Film Paterson (2016).

Hard to judge thickness with only dimensions to go by

Very nice quality, just what I hoped for. But it's just too thick for me. I'm thinking of using my electric knife to try to skim enough off to be usable. I've slept most of my life on latex pillows and have not enjoyed using other pillows.

Good pillow, but too high for my neck

I love the Talalay latex for the quality, and that there is no smell. However, it is too high for my neck. I wish the company would make it in a 3" version, instead of just 5.5". They do have a "slim" version, but it is not even the same kind of pillow. It measures 2.5" and the back side is completely flat, so you can not turn it in over for use. The company basically took this 5.5" version and cut it in half for the slim.
