Style wise the wine is typical of Pirathon Blue Label showcasing the regional Shiraz characters of blueberry and milk chocolate. A small amount of Mataro has been added to the wine to increase the complexity adding a long savoury finish. Maturation for 12 months in predominantly older hogsheads (French & American) allows for the fruit to shine but adding layers of biscuit, vanilla and nutmeg spice.
Made for immediate enjoyment but will reward medium term cellaring.
