The Phillips Andover Repp tie is woven with English silk and handmade in the USA for the Andover Shop to commemorate its affiliation with Phillips Andover Academy since our opening in 1948.

Phillips Academy (also known as PA, Phillips Academy Andover, or simply Andover) is a co-educational college-preparatory school for boarding and day students located in Andover, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. The academy enrolls approximately 1,150 students in grades 9 through 12, including postgraduate students. It is part of the Eight Schools Association and the Ten Schools Admissions Organization.

Founded in 1778, Andover is one of the oldest high schools in the United States. It has educated a long list of notable alumni through its history, including American presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, foreign heads of state, members of Congress, five Nobel laureates and six Medal of Honor recipients.

Initial thoughts are very positive with this 3 pack shirt set. The green is similar to an OD military green and the black and gray are standard color shades. Material is soft and sizes are true to size. The mock turtleneck isn’t too tight but may still be a little annoying to some people. I do question the amount of spandex in these shirts. Tag says 5% but these shirts are extremely stretchy and feels like a higher spandex content. It’s also a little tough to figure out which way is the front of the shirt. Visually rhe front does have a lower collar line than the back but would still be nice to have a brand tag printed in the back of the shirt for quicker identification. Overall for roughly $12 a shirt these are a good choice for everyday wear. I will update rating if these shirts fail to meet expectations after further use.
