Hydromol Description
Hydromol is a moisturiser that helps to keep your skin hydrated and brings back its natural moisture balance.
Hydromol comes as a cream, ointment, and intensive cream, depending on your needs.
You can add Hydromol ointment to your bath or use it instead of soap.

What is Hydromol?

Hydromol comes in the form of a cream, ointment, and intensive cream. The Hydromol ointment is a versatile emollient that can be applied directly to the skin, used in the bath, or as a substitute for soap. Both Hydromol cream and Hydromol Intensive are specially formulated to help restore your skin's natural moisture by replenishing key elements of the skin's natural moisturising factor (NMF).

NMF is a blend of compounds naturally present in the skin that helps keep it hydrated and balanced. It contains things like amino acids, urea, and different salts such as sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate (Sodium PCA). These are vital for protecting and moisturising the skin's outer layer. NMF is key to having healthy, well-hydrated skin.

When your skin gets dry, the amount of these NMF components drops, which can lead to cracks and irritation. However, the ingredients in Hydromol help to lock in moisture, leaving your skin feeling smoother and softer.

What is Hydromol used for?

Hydromol is helpful for treating various forms of dermatitis, commonly known as eczema. This term covers a range of skin conditions that cause inflammation. If you have dermatitis, your skin may become dry, itchy, and might even crack or develop sore patches. Types of dermatitis include atopic dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and photodermatitis.

Photodermatitis, often called "sun allergy," can lead to rashes similar to eczema when your skin is exposed to sunlight or certain substances that become irritating when mixed with light.

How does Hydromol work for photodermatitis?

Hydromol isn't specifically meant for treating photodermatitis, but it can be beneficial for your skin. It's an emollient, which is a type of moisturiser. It helps to soothe and hydrate dry, itchy, or scaly skin.

Hydromol cream includes Sodium PCA, a natural part of your skin's Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF). It helps to bring back your skin's natural ability to stay hydrated. This keeps moisture in, making your skin feel smoother, softer, and easing any itching.

Hydromol ointment contains ingredients such as liquid paraffin that help keep your skin hydrated. It acts as an emollient by forming a protective barrier that locks in moisture. Plus, it's free from preservatives, so it's ideal for very dry and sensitive skin.

Hydromol Intensive includes 10% urea, a natural component of the skin's moisturising factors. Urea acts as a humectant, helping to draw moisture into your skin and hydrate it from the inside.

Are there different forms of Hydromol?

Hydromol is available in various forms: cream, ointment, and Intensive cream. Each one has a special formulation to keep your skin protected and moisturised.

The ingredients found in the three different types of Hydromol are:

1
Cream: This contains liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, myristyl myristate, cetomacrogol emulsifying wax, sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate, phenoxyethanol, ceteareth-20, methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, n-butylparaben, iso-butylparaben, sodium lactate solution, and purified water.
2
Ointment: cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, liquid paraffin, and yellow soft paraffin.
3
Hydromol Intensive contains ingredients like urea, maize starch, white soft paraffin, isopropyl myristate, glyceryl tribehenate, sorbitan laurate, palmitic acid, and polyoxyethylene fatty glyceride.

How does Hydromol compare with other treatments for photodermatitis?

To treat skin conditions such as photodermatitis, you'll typically use creams, ointments, or lotions. If you're looking for personalised advice, a clinician can assist you in selecting the most suitable treatment.

Topical steroids like hydrocortisone, betamethasone, and clobetasol are often used to treat different types of dermatitis, including photodermatitis. These steroids are available in various strengths, from mild to very potent, and come in different formulations.

Emollients or moisturisers such as Hydromol are often recommended if you have dry skin and can be used together with steroids. Depending on your particular condition, your clinician might suggest moisturisers of varying strengths. These can range from lighter options like Doublebase Gel to richer, greasier ones like Fifty:50 ointment for very dry skin or sudden flare-ups.

Another option for emollient treatment is Epaderm, which comes in both cream and ointment forms. The cream is ideal for mild to moderately dry skin, much like Hydromol cream, whereas the ointment is better suited for very dry skin, similar to Hydromol ointment.

Does Hydromol have any side effects?

Hydromol is generally safe with minimal side effects, but some individuals might be sensitive to its ingredients. If you notice any skin reactions like burning, itching, rash, or redness after using Hydromol, it's advisable to stop using it and consult your clinician for guidance.

Does Hydromol contain steroids?

No, Hydromol products do not contain any steroids. They help by moisturising your skin with their special ingredients. If you're also using a steroid cream with Hydromol, it's best to wait about 20-30 minutes between applications to ensure both treatments work effectively.

Can Hydromol be used on the face?

Yes, you can apply it to your face. However, it's wise to try it on a small patch of skin first before using it more widely. Also, be careful to avoid getting it in your eyes. If it does get in your eyes, rinse them with running water for a few minutes.

Can you get Hydromol over the counter?

Yes, you can buy all three Hydromol products—cream, ointment, and Intensive—without needing a prescription. However, it's a good idea to consult your clinician before using any skin product to ensure it's safe and appropriate for you.

Important Information

Be sure to read the instructions on the packaging that comes with your treatment before you use it.

If you have any questions about using Hydromol or need advice, feel free to message our clinicians online whenever you like, and they will respond to you.

3 Alpha Cowboys, One Omega City Girl, 3 Months of Forced Proximity - ALL The Spice
Format: Kindle
What could be better than a Cowboy Romance? How about THREE cowboys. If that Reverse Harem reveal doesn't peak your interest, what if I told you that all the cowboys are also Alphas & our FMC is an Omega? Interested yet? Thought so.... Finding out that there is an entire sub-genre (sub-sub-genre??) of non-shifter Alphas & Omega books has been a recent discovery that I am quite enjoying. Up until this last month I had only seen the Alpha / Omega trope in association with Paranormal Shifter Romance. However, this new-to-me concept introduces all the fun of Alpha & Omega pheromones, heat cycles, & knotting with no were-creature trope required. None of that unnecessary slobber or shedding found here! OK there was some shedding, but that was just from the three adorable adopted cats featured in this story. Oh, and maybe some drool on my end as I through some of the spicier scenes. The spice in this one is hotter'n a blister bug in a pepper patch -- or some other Cash approved country saying. Speaking of Cash...I'm pretty sure I need to send Harley a Thank You card for writing these spectacular men. Maybe a gift basket? How does one appropriately show gratitude to an author for creating truly exceptional male character. Which is, in fact, what all the Alphas in this book are. They hit all the book boyfriend tropes: 🩷 Cash Winslow: Your typical golden retriever cowboy. He is tall, blonde, and has a joke or "cowboy-ish" for almost any situation. 💕Scent: Fresh sage, strong coffee, old leather. 🩷 Walker Stone: Tall, dark, & broody this Cowboy is the enforcer of the group. He is also a HUGE flirt & say all the right things! 💕Scent: Cedar & Cinnamon 🩷 Ridge Colter: The stoic & reserved ginger has a heart of gold behind the walls he tries to put up. 💕Scent: Honey & Fresh Bread The FMC, Sophia Hollis, has her hands....and other places....full with these three. Fresh out of a very toxic (trigger warning) relationship with her ex-Alpha, she has no idea what it means to be truly cherished as an Omega. When she inherited the Wild Hearts Ranch, she figured she would travel from her home in Chicago to Montana, sell the ranch, and be on her way with enough cash to pay off her debts and start a new life for herself. What she didn't expect was for that inheritance to come with terms. Terms that dictate she live on the ranch for three months before she can sell. Three months.....with three hot Alphas....what could go wrong? "Three months in Montana with three Alphas, a bull named Brutus who has it out for me, and I have no idea if this small town even has a heat clinic. What could possibly go wrong?" - pg. 27 Nothing....absolutely nothing goes wrong...in fact, after reading this book I would say that things went very VERY right for her. Without giving too much away, here are just some of my top highlights & notes from the book: Instant alpha / omega scent recognition. Shirtless Cowboys.....a lot of shirtless cowboys. A guest house with a library & swinging chair. (Sadly no on-page library spice) Ranch / Animal Sanctuary. Alpha sponsored shopping trip. (Yes - Dressing Room Fun Occurred) Junk Measuring (With actual measuring tape) Late Night Stargazing Lord Weasleton of a Grandson (Seriously....somebody take this guy out back) Bull Riding & Rodeo (because....of course) Omega Heat Guard Dog Bull (Seriously his name is Bruno & he is very cranky) Adventures with Ice Cream (Mango might just be my new favorite flavor) Smutty Bookclub (That I wish I could join....seriously...the themed meetings...the costumes...LMFAO) Small Town Found Family.....and gossip Cowboy-isms Version of Truth or Dare He makes her "O" 7 times just to compete with the MMC in her bookclub book. And so much more.... For those of you wondering, the true spice starts around 50% in, but the flirting & banter builds the tension in the best of ways. If you are looking for your next Alpha / Omega Cowboys Romance I suggest you take this one for a ride.

Sweet But With Depth!
Format: Kindle
“maybe, just maybe, some things are worth chasing across the sky. Even if you never catch them.” This is a sweet, cozy OV romance—but it actually has unexpected depth. I picked this up expecting a light read with low angst. And, while I got a low angst read—it was so much more than that. It’s people piecing themselves back together after serious hurts, and learning it’s okay to be vulnerable. Learning it’s okay to allow yourself to be loved The characters are well rounded and very real, including the “broody” cowboy that could have easily been a stereotype—but was actually one of the best in the whole book. It’s got just the right level of spice, and boy is it well written! I couldn’t put it down. This is no shallow OV read, this has heart and soul. It’s absolutely beautifully written. It honestly deserves more than five stars!

read it for the cowboys
Format: Kindle
it was a fun, engaging read. there was a lot of time spent on emphasizing how hot these cowboys were ...so that was pretty enjoyable. i love a soft (but hard when you need to be) man -- and these guys were all pillow-soft but also, touch her and die vibes. plus, heats & alpha/omega & knotting - i am in, like flynn! i didn't quite enjoy the influencer/blogger bits but that's a personal preference - but otherwise, it was a cute story that i would recommend.

Swoony Cowboys meet a Headstrong City Girl…
Format: Kindle
4.25/5⭐️ Wild Hearts Ranch has my heart!! When Harley Knight teased this book in one of her other books, I was interested to see how it would turn out. I expected there to be more tension and conflict between the FMC and MMCs (at least at the beginning) considering Sophia just dropped into Montana to inherit a ranch she’d never been to, and not only that, but a ranch that was verbally promised to Cash, Walker, and Ridge by the late owner. Thankfully all of the tension was mostly emotional pining which I can deal with since it was light, full of fluff, but the story touched on heavier topics in such a wonderful light. grief comes in many forms, and all of the MCs were able to find happiness -despite their grief- in their connections with each other. If you’re looking for a small town, cowboy, scent matched, omegaverse story that will put you on a medium cycle of emotions as you read it, please look no further! Long live Wild Hearts Ranch!!
