This 2020 Chardonnay has inviting aromatics of white peach and bright citrus with roasted almonds and a hint of spice on the nose. Drinking well on release, this wine will continue to develop and evolve over the next five years.

Grown in the Lower Wairau Valley in Marlborough, this 2020 Chardonnay comprises of Clone 15 and Burgundian Clone 95 vines. Leading up to harvest, the fruit was monitored until reaching peak flavour capability, before being hand harvested and transported to the winery. The grapes were pressed in whole bunch clusters and fermented in a mixture of large format cuvees and 100% new French oak barriques. The wine underwent a Malolactic fermentation to encourage a rich mouthfeel and was aged in barrel for 10 months.
