The Chanfro Series arises from the conflict between industrial design and craftsmanship. The creative process and technology employed by the design, combined with manual production techniques, generate unique results that juxtaposes modern aesthetics – with its simplicity and sophistication – against the red terracotta – a material so trivialized in the Brazilian culture – to provoke a questioning of the value and stigmas associated with this material.
All products in the Chanfro Series were developed in 3D software and materialized through 3D printing, both for prototyping and for creating plaster molds for reproducing the pieces with liquid clay.
