floopy shares his nostalgic connection with Metroid: "Metroid Zero Mission was one of the first games I ever played as a kid on the Gameboy Advance. It sparked my love for video games and video game music. Kraid's theme was the first song I ever learned on the piano nearly 15 years ago. My favorite track on this album is the Metroid Prime Theme, which, through different production techniques, became something unique and enjoyable."
In this project, floopy aimed to blend the lo-fi sound with new compositions inspired by the Metroid series. His goal was to create grooves that could be improvised upon, resulting in a mix of genres from chillwave to bossa nova, and even lo-fi disco house. floopy's collaboration with Save Point helped him achieve this vision, expanding his definition of lo-fi music and bringing fresh perspectives to beloved Metroid themes.
