Much like the Super Mutant, Floaters are ‘victims’ of experimentation with the Forced Evolutionary Virus, though the secret of what they were before being exposed to FEV is long lost to time. Now, borne aloft by gaseous sacs, Floaters are cunning predators, and curiously loyal to their Super Mutant kin. Somehow, through unknown means, most Floaters have developed ‘elemental affinities’, able to spew either acid, flame, or even cryogenic bile from their maws with staggering ease. Because clearly, floating bags of teeth weren’t bad enough.
