From the classically trained chef and beloved blogger behind The Buddhist Chef comes a collection of nearly 100 easy and delicious vegan recipes that everyone--whether or not they follow a meatless or plant-forward life--will enjoy and crave. A practicing Buddhist for over two decades, Jean-Philippe Cyr, aka The Buddhist Chef, believes that everyone has the power to make their vision of the world come to life--and that the most impactful way to do that is through the food we choose to make, eat, and share with loved ones. It was this realization that led him to veganism, which transformed his life and health, and inspired his quest to make classic dishes vegan, easy, and so delicious and show-stopping that everyone--even the pickiest of eaters--will love them. The Buddhist Chef--the English edition of the runaway hit La cuisine de Jean-Philippe--is a collection of Jean-Philippe's best vegan recipes that will instantly become a mainstay in vegan and non-vegan kitchens alike. The recipes are perfect for those trying out a vegan diet for the first time, or trying to eat vegan more often. Inspired by cuisines from all around the world, these recipes offer something for everyone. Enjoy breakfast and brunch recipes like Vegan Shakshuka and Maple Baked Beans, or salads and protein-packed bowls like Beet Carpaccio or Tempeh Poke Bowl. Transform your kitchen with hearty mains like Eggplant Parmigiana, General Tso's Tofu, and Mushroom Poutine. Indulge in vegan desserts like Chocolate Lava Cake or have a nourishing snack like Coconut Matcha Energy Balls. Featuring a wide selection of recipes for every meal of the day, The Buddhist Chef is a celebration of healthy, plant-based meals that will have everyone at the table wanting more.Binding Type: Paperback

Such a great read. Feels like old school Adult Swim.

A Experience to Be Read
Format: Paperback
I bought the first issue when the series debuted but couldn't afford to continue. So I'm glad I found this volume 1 trade paperback.
On first read, it has a few inspirations from Japanese manga from panel layouts to manga/anime character tropes. That being the case, it carves its own identity as a romance story between a normal orphan boy and a centuries old vampire and their daily lives in an alternate history USA.
I like mash-up of different cultures from German and Japanese to Spanish and English including the music, the written languages, and other aspects.
Nights has a vibe not everyone will like off bat, but I'll will vouch that anyone should give it a try.

Overwhelming Great!
Format: Paperback
This was mind blowingly good. Haven’t read anything in a long time where every character’s backstory was so well written and interesting. The story rocks, it’s almost overwhelming. I will be on the hunt for the individual issues because there’s no way I’m waiting for the next trade paperback.

Best new comic I have read in a while
Format: Kindle
Interesting characters that you are immediately invested in, strange world, super fun and witty writing/dialog. You’ll really enjoy this one. Genre? Mmm alternate past/present Florida with a quirky horror bent? Just read it. You’ll thank me. :D
