Quantity (approx.) of yarn used: 822 (970, 1078, 1280, 1436) {1628, 1738, 2030, 2122} metres of DK weight yarn. or combinations of Main colour (MC) and Contrast colour (CC).
Please note that if you alter the pattern in any way this will affect the amount of yarn you'll need to purchase.
Suggested Yarn: DK in a smooth yarn and also a Brushed Suri Silk or Silk Mohair (DK weight.
Yarn Notes: Please feel free to substitute any DK weight yarn for this cardi! If you are not a fan of Suri or Mohair, a smoother yarn works just as well. Just be sure to swatch to ensure you are achieving the proper gauge. Your yarn requirements may differ as well.
Pattern Gauge: 15 stitches and 25 rows = 10cm square swatch knitted in two-colour honeycomb brioche stitch knit flat (after blocking) This step is highly recommended to ensure fit and sufficient yarn or size needed to obtain gauge.
Suggested 4mm circular knitting needles in 60cm and 100cm lengths for body and magic loop technique and / or dpns.
Notions: 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) {7, 7, 7, 7} x 1cm buttons (vintage ones would look amazing!) stitch markers and other common sewing notions.
Skill Level: Intermediate to LOVES a Challenge! Basic brioche skills are highly recommended.
