Turmoil, the fifth expansion to Terraforming Mars, takes players back to Mars, and the struggle for control and progress of human society on a big and dangerous planet.

The expansion includes new corporations, new projects, and a new type of cards — Global Events, from dust storms to riots to rising alloy demand — that give you something to plan for 3 generations in advance.

At the heart of this is the political arena of the Terraforming Committee. A new action allows players to add delegates to different parties, the first delegate each generation being free, and additional ones costing 5 MC. Neutral delegates are added by the global events, representing the wishes and trends of society.
When a player(even the neutral player) has more delegates in a party than any other player, that player takes over the party leader seat for that party, and when a party has more delegates than any other party, it becomes dominant. The dominant party will become ruling during the next generation, imposing its one-time bonus, its ongoing policy, and granting chairmanship for its party leader, awarding that player 1 terraform rating.

Party: Bonus: Policy:
Kelvinist 1MC/heat production 10MC -> 1 heat production + 1 energy production
Scientist 1MC/science tag 10MC -> draw 3 cards (once per player)
Unity 1MC/planet tag Titanium is worth +1MC
Mars First 1MC/building tag Placing a tile on Mars gives 1 steel
Greens 1MC/biological tag placing a greenery tile gives 4MC
Reds 1TR for the lowest player Increasing TR in the action phase costs +3MC

The political arena also determines the players' influence, which can be used to moderate or enhance the effect of the current global event. Influence is gained from being the chairman of the Committee, being party leader in the dominant party, and for having a non-leader delegate in the dominant party.
In order to pay for all these new bonuses, the Committee is revising the terraform rating, lowering it for all players by 1 step each generation.

In Turmoil, players can try to force their own agenda, or push it in a more moderate, economic way. They can play to mitigate the global events with influence, or adjust their play to better take advantage of them. And they can anticipate the competing players' agendas and try to benefit from them, or counteract them.

Turmoil is an expert expansion - be prepared to meet the full spectrum of human civilization in the era of terraforming Mars!

Nice looking medium sized backpack purse
Color: Pink
Although it says nylon in the description, mine is a soft pleather in a soft pink color. Although it has a lot of pockets for storage, it isn't large capacity. It is good for a wallet, phone, water bottle, sandwich, perhaps a cosmetic bag, and that's about it. I do not like pink accessories but this is a creamy light tone of pink and looks nice. The straps are adjustable and very comfortable in the same padded pleather. Lightweight.

Great to take on a trip
Color: Black
We love to cruise and always take an extra backpack with us so we can load up on the travel booty and have a place to put it. Works well as your "one plus" item on the airlines. So the quality on this backpack is just fine. No issues at all. Nothing was falling apart or coming off. Very small when you fold it up which is great for packing in your suitcase. Holds a ton of stuff.... I'd do some shopping to make sure this fits your needs. There are a ton of backpack's in this price range and some appear to have more features.... Also looks... some are cooler looking, but that's just my opinion...even though I'm right... This will do well for you as others will do too... You get a 30 day return policy with this so you could try it out first to see if you like it... if not, return it... nothing to loose...

Decent basic backpack
Color: Green
This is a good, basic backpack. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a solid choice. The sizing is average, it will hold several books and notebooks. The padding felt adequate for most items, but I'm not sure how much I would trust it with an expensive Mac book. The straps were easy to adjust and padded enough. I appreciate that it could be folded up and put into another bag if you needed an extra bag while traveling - it would make a good day pack. Overall a good deal for what it is.

Sturdy, attractive, comfortable, large capacity; lightweight, back strap to fit luggage
Color: Green, Color: Green
There are several good features for this BAGOK Lightweight Nylon Backpack, starting with the attractive green color that I chose. It is light weight and foldable yet has lots of pockets. The stitching is good, and the zippers work nicely. The back adjustable straps have padding and netting for cooling. There is also a handle on top for carrying and a backstrap to fit over luggage. On the front, there are two zippered compartments. The small one at the top could hold a wallet or passport or tickets. The larger front pocket is roomy with the zipper under an overhanging fabric. Inside is lined with black nylon. The frontmost large compartment extends the length and width of the backpack. The larger main compartment is at the back and has padding to safely store a laptop, e reader or other electronics. There are two nylon pockets inside the main compartment on one side. There are two outer side pockets. I was able to fit a water bottle in them when the inside was empty. However, if the entire backpack is filled, I don't think a water bottle will fit. One drawback is the side pockets are not elasticized--they don't stretch. I will use this for day trips and travel. It is too large to be a personal item on airlines, but it could be a carryon. You can get a lot of things in it. The nylon material is sturdy and should stand up to wear. I am short, 5'2" female and I could adjust the straps to be comfortable for me. And it does fold up for storage between uses. This could also withstand daily use for hiking, work or school
