Thus begins the new novel from John Grisham, a story inspired by his own childhood in rural Arkansas. The narrator is a farm boy named Luke Chandler, age seven, who lives in the cotton fields with his parents and grandparents in a little house that's never been painted. The Chandlers farm eighty acres that they rent, not own, and when the cotton is ready they hire a truckload of Mexicans and a family from the Ozarks to help harvest it. For six weeks they pick cotton, battling the heat, the rain, the fatigue, and, sometimes, each other. As the weeks pass Luke sees and hears things no seven-year-old could possibly be prepared for, and finds himself keeping secrets that not only threaten the crop but will change the lives of the Chandlers forever. 5 STARS: These shoes are awesome. I keep coming back for more. I have major foot problems, have tried all kinds of shoes, orthotics, and inserts... but believe it or not, these shoes work better than any of that stuff. I wear them daily. I buy lots of them, for home, for church, and I'm getting my first pair of J&M boots today, for winters in Indiana... Brrrr

These boat shoes are great, they fit a 13W comfortably, for the the price my expectations were not high, but I was wrong, they look good and the soles are real rubber they fit well, I would definitely recommend these, very comfortable.

I'm going to give these shoes a 5 star. They look good, fit well and are very comfortable. They are not leather, but they look and feel more like leather than most low-priced real leather shoes. I bought them to wear around the house and in the yard and they are perfect for that. I am going to swap the weird looking partial laces for a good pair of leather laces. Good value received for money spent.
