Natural Factors Senior’s Multi Probiotic provides eight probiotic strains that support digestive health and combat age-related reductions in immune system function. Each strain has been carefully selected for its natural resistance to gastric acid, allowing the probiotics to reach the intestines at full potency. This formula not only offers Lactobacilli to support small intestine health, but also Bifidobacteria, the most prevalent friendly bacteria in the large intestine.
Unfortunately, the populations of these good bacteria, such as B. breve, decline rapidly as we age, leaving us vulnerable to infection by pathogenic organisms. Maintaining the diversity of gut microflora through regular consumption of Senior’s Multi Probiotic may reduce the production of pro-inflammatory substances which can, in turn, help in the management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and food intolerances. Beneficial gut bacteria also support genito-urinary health, playing a role in the prevention and management of yeast overgrowth and urinary tract infections.
This comprehensive formula includes L. rhamnosus, clinically shown to enhance immune system activity in the elderly, along with L. acidophilus, which can significantly decrease gastrointestinal side effects, as well as yeast infections associated with antibiotic use.
