The Shandon™ Cytofunnels™ Cytocentrifuge is a reliable and efficient solution for cytology applications, capable of processing 12 specimens simultaneously and accepting protocols from Cytospin 1, 2, and 3. It features a redesigned lid-release mechanism for easy one-handed opening and closing, along with a polycarbonate window for convenient viewing during operation. The equipment protects mechanical and electronic components from accidental fluid spills and allows for easy disinfection. Complying with IEC 61010 safety standards, it facilitates loading in a microbiological cabinet for enhanced safety. The cytocentrifuge includes disposable sample chambers with caps and a wipe-clean control panel. It achieves excellent cell presentation by constructively flattening cells and centrifuging them onto the slide's deposition area, minimizing cell loss from residual fluid contact. The pull-out program card, protected program memory, and easy-touch program keypad enable convenient programming and retrieval of up to nine programs and 23 routines. With features like speed control, acceleration buttons, time display, and standby power-saving mode, it offers precise control and user-friendly operation. Safety alarms alert for balance, speed tolerance, and lid locking, while specimen safety alarms prevent air drying.
