Overview

The APO PRV25F 25mm 1" inline pressure reducing valve is Australia Watermark approved and features a pressure adjustment range of 150-600kPa with a factory setting at 500kPa. The APO PRV pressure reducing valve features the same threads, fitments and similar physical sizes with many other valve manufacturers such as Reliance, AVG, Tomson, AW, Nefa and Reflex. This makes the APO PRV pressure reducing valve a perfect direct replacement to an existing valve with no plumbing pipe modifications required.

The pressure reducing valves are commonly used in hot water services such as electric, heat pump, gas storage and solar hot water heaters across all mainstream brands in Australia such as Rheem, Vulcan, Rinnal, Dux, Aquamax, Thermann, Apricus and Solahart. The pressure reducing valve employs a membrane design inside with a stiff pre-loaded adjustable spring, opposed to a sliding piston mechanism found in a pressure limiting valve which often causes failures from clogging up. This design feature makes a pressure reducing valve more reliable than a pressure limiting valve, while functioning the same way in this application.

In real world installations, it is sometimes found that pressure limiting valves cannot limit pressures sufficiently in places where unusually high street mains pressures are present. This can cause troubles with ECV and PTR valves leaking on hot water services. The pressure reducing valves can be used in such situations and offer a far better pressure control from our in field experiences over the years in our own plumbing jobs in Brisbane.

The pressure reducing valves can also be installed after water meters or just before entering houses. The pressure reducing valves can ensure a stable water supply pressure, despite the pressure fluctuations in the mains from the streets.

The pressure reducing valve comes with a BSP 6mm test plug inbuilt, where an optional pressure gauge can be inserted for pressure measurement at the outlet. The optional pressure gauge is shown in the photo gallery and can be bought for extra. It must be noted that the pressure gauge is only intended to be used as a measurement tool and must be removed after use, as it could rust inside out if left in a wet environment for prolonged periods of time.

4.5/5; Great product, but smells strong
Scent: Sweet Vanilla & Soft Wood, Size: 10 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Context: To start off, I should say that I have dry skin. Like, VERY dry skin. In purchasing this item, I wanted a product that I could consistently apply every single day to hydrate my skin. Product: The application of this stuff was like a dream. If you’ve ever tried using ANY sort of lotion (Lubriderm, Cetaphil, etc.) you’d know that usually it leaves that greasy texture on your hands that you have to wash off. This one doesn’t do ANY of that. The cream melts into your skin and absorbs very easily, unlike other lotions. I didn’t need that much to apply to my entire body. The results were great—my skin looked better and felt softer. If there was to be a con, it would be how strong the fragrance of the lotion is. This stuff smells STRONG. It’s not an unpleasant scent, but if you wanted to wear a perfume or body spray along with it, good luck because I can’t see a world where the cream won’t overpower or at least show through your preferred scent. TLDR Overall, good product with dreamlike application, but strength of scent could be dealbreaker for some.

This everyday body lotion is the bomb!
Scent: Collagen, Size: 17 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This body lotion is absolutely fabulous! It really does make the skin on my thighs and abdomen look and feel firmer and the skin on my arms, legs, hands, and feet is noticeably softer and more hydrated without looking greasy or feeling sticky. I even use it on my neck and my face, which has tended to be more dry than oily as I've aged. I also really appreciate that the scent is pleasant enough to stand on its own but subtle enough to work well with other fragrances. I don't think that I have ever been this satisfied with a health/beauty product at such an affordable price point. I even purchased a few extra bottles to gift to friends and family.

Wow - my new favorites 💜👍😀
Scent: Retinol, Size: 17 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I just purchased this and tried it last night for the first time along with the firming version. I didn't take photos because I was skeptical as a product I had purchased from a different line for more money didn't work. This morning I notice that not only does my skin feel more hydrated but the texture appears more smooth. I recently turned 75 & lost my husband a few months ago and having been a care giver for awhile and put taking care of me aside. These products and body wash are great and I like the fragrance. Please give them a try. To have something show this much difference over night is incredible. They are also affordable which is a plus for me. Thank you Olay.

Holy Grail Moisturizer for Rosacea
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-3.3 Fl Oz
In seeing so many negative reviews I felt compelled to weigh in as this is my favorite moisturizer. I have very dry, menopausal skin. Additionally, I have rosacea which seems to have been a nice gift from said menopause (you can only laugh, right?). It's very common for those of us in our 50's to have a compromised skin barrier and when an issue like rosacea is present, even more so. Because of all this my skin is very intolerant to most moisturizers and nearly all actives (over the last few years I've had to discontinue my retinols and chemical exfoliators). While ingredients like ALA's, petrolatum, mineral oil, parafin/bees wax, and lanolin are well tolerated and known to be quite soothing, they don't hydrate very well as they are more occlusive than moisturizing. Enter this product. Magically, it does both! It's marketed as a protective cream, which again implies occlusive, but it penetrates like no other. Gone is the tight, dry feeling that persisted even when I had a heavy layer of product on my skin (my previous moisturizer was Eucerin Original Healing Cream -- which still has its uses -- because it was the only thing I could put on my skin outside of squalane oil during a flare). Now, no topical can cure rosacea. However, the right product can calm the skin, repair the damaged lipid barrier, and improve its appearance. This moisturizer does just that and it's become my holy grail. Since starting this I've also added in the Cicalfate Serum which has only aided in repairing my skin. Another Avene product that works great for me is the XeraCalm Balm which helps with itching. I use all three of these daily and they've really helped fix the secondary issues that come with rosacea. As for the complaints about it being greasy or too heavy. I can see this not working for people with normal or oily skin (or perhaps only in moderation). But my skin loves the heavier weight and because one of the ways I soothe a flare is to keep a tiny mister bottle on hand and repeatedly spray my face so I have to guard against the drying effects of evaporation. These products are so lipid heavy that I can wet my face all day long without worrying about that, though I do reapply throughout the day. As for the watery consistency issue, I haven't had that problem but it does caution on the packaging not to expose the product to temperatures below 41 degrees F (5 C). I suspect that if it gets too cold either because of the weather or because of whatever warehouse it sat in during transit it will separate. Maybe open the package and before squeezing some out look to see if it has split and then shake it up/message the tube. So, if you have skin like mine don't hesitate to try this product. I'm leaving this absurdly long review for my struggling brothers and sisters out there with rosacea in hopes that it provides some relief! Happy moisturizing, internet strangers. ;)
