The definitive choice for a Libec 2-stage heavy-duty tripod with a 100mm bowl is the Libec T103RB (which replaces the legacy T103B model).

This industrial-grade, twin-tube aluminum foundation is designed specifically for demanding studio setups, digital cinema camera packages, outside broadcast (OB) setups, and jib/crane deployments.

Libec T103RB Key Features & Overview

  • Massive Structural Payload: The T103RB features a maximum load capacity of 90 kg (198 lbs). It easily manages full-scale studio setups, including teleprompters, cinema cameras with heavy anamorphic glass, and remote head assemblies, with zero structural flex.

  • Torsional Rigidity: Its dual-pipe aluminum leg structure provides high resistance to radial twisting. This ensures the frame remains steady without micro-jitters, even during abrupt pans or high-speed tracking with heavy telephoto lenses.

  • Cine-Style Grip Latches: It utilizes heavy-duty rotary clamping knobs that are completely temperature-independent, ensuring a secure hold that won't slip in freezing alpine environments or extreme desert heat.

  • Added Accessory Port: The T103RB includes a dedicated 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting port near the top 100mm casting, allowing you to mount articulation handles, extension monitors, or wireless video systems directly to the legs.

Technical Specifications

  • Head Interface: Industry-Standard 100mm Bowl

  • Leg Material: High-Strength Aluminum Alloy

  • Leg Sections / Stages: 2-Stage / 3 Leg Sections

  • Maximum Load Capacity: 90 kg / 198.0 lbs

  • Height Range: 64.5 cm to 175.5 cm / 25.5" to 69.0" (Measured with floor spreader attached)

  • Weight (Legs Only): 7.2 kg / 15.9 lbs

  • Foot Support: Dual Hardened Stainless Steel Spiked Feet

Recommended Modular Accessories

Because it is an industrial platform, the T103RB ships as legs only, allowing you to configure the base to suit your production environment:

  1. For Flat Studio/Leveled Floors: Pair it with the Libec SP-6B Ground Spreader to rigidly tie the base together and prevent splaying.

  2. For Uneven Field/OB Terrains: Combine it with the Libec BR-6B Telescopic Mid-Level Spreader and FP-6B Large Rubber Foot Caps. This allows the legs to extend at completely different angles on slopes, stairs, or rocky ground.

  3. For Smooth Studio Rolling: It mounts directly onto the Libec DL-10RB Heavy-Duty Dolly with integrated cable guards for smooth rolling shots.

Exciting and fast paced
Format: Kindle
Loved the stories within stories flashbacks. It all ties in nicely in the end and leaves a cool cliffhanger. The art is fantastic and so is the sifting in of beloved Star Wars characters from the past. Good storyline to follow!

Great way to add even more depth to Black Spire Outpost
Format: Paperback
Having just visited Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, I really enjoyed learning more layers of depth and stories from there with this collection of comics. Having read "A Crash of Fate" and "Black Spire" was a great way to do that as well, but this was obviously a quicker read, and also spanned many different times and with some different characters, too. Great for readers with shorter attention spans, too! Recommended!

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction. This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world. There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind. I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.

Good point of entry into Star Wars comics
Format: Paperback
I love Star Wars and have been enjoying seeing the expanded universe. Honestly, sometimes the focus on Jedis and Siths is a bit of a distraction from understanding what life would be like in that galaxy.
