About the Author

Paul Clark discovered how much he truly enjoyed writing with his first book, Sophia, despite having written for more than thirty years—poetry, technical documents, and short stories, though never a novel. Now, as he approaches retirement, he suspects there will be many more stories to tell.

Ever since he was a boy, Paul has loved puzzles and understanding how things work, or how they came to be. That curiosity is a big part of why he remained in technology for over thirty-five years—it suits his mindset. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and bass, spending time with family and friends, and traveling with his wife, Rowlyn.

This is Paul’s first fantasy work, regardless of length. The idea sprang from a conversation with his brother, Vic. As they were brainstorming a new book, Vic suggested fantasy. From there, they batted around different ideas until they landed on the notion of a quest. That was all it took—Paul was hooked.

I thought this book was very entertaining. I found it interesting that the main character, Natalie Keane famous actress had so much trauma since she was a child that continued to build when she was kidnapped that kept her secluded. I liked the other main character, Taylor Vaughn, a bodyguard who also supported her parents who's is so sweet of her. Taylor had physical issues that helped her relate in some way with Natalie. Though their relationship was fake at the beginning as time went on it became more real which both realized they were in love. I liked that the author gave detail descriptions of the main characters. Though I wished it was more in the beginning chapters and not throughout the story. I did like the ending and epilogue. I was a little disappointed there wasn't more. I truly enjoyed reading this. I would recommend this book to everyone that loves a good romance.

Anytime Rachel Lacey releases a new book, I drop whatever I'm doing to read it, because I know it'll be a banger. And Cover Story definitely didn't disappoint! Natalie, an A-list actress, is struggling to live without fear after a horrible stalker experience 8 years ago that she can never seen to get past. With news that the man is getting out on parole soon, Natalie hires Taylor, a bodyguard who is also going to pose as her girlfriend. I really loved this story. Both Natalie and Taylor have struggles and fears, and the author did such a tremendous job of making them into full-fledged characters that felt very authentic. Their dynamic as actress and bodyguard, both trying not to fall in love (and failing) was really fun to read. Their chemistry was off the charts hot, as were their spicy scenes! The secondary characters and the Hollywood setting made the story and their lives feel very real, too. I'm going to have to go back and reread Stars Collide now!
