A high neck keeps you warm and gives a chunky look when you're zipped up. In pelting rain you can tighten the hood around your face and adjust the cuffs and hem to keep out the wind. A dual-use zip lets you fasten up the jacket or zip it into to the waterproof, and secure the two together with press studs at the neck and cuffs.
