This exclusive Family Reserve edition from Conservas Ortiz showcases the finest expression of Bonito del Norte (White Tuna, Thunnus alalunga), line-caught in the Bay of Biscay during the peak of the 2022 season. Known for its long pectoral fin—earning it the name alalunga—this prized species is celebrated for its delicate texture and exceptionally mild flavor.

What sets this Reserve edition apart is its meticulous aging process. After being freshly cooked just hours after harvest, the whole loins are hand-packed in olive oil and cellared to mature slowly over time. This traditional, time-honored aging deepens the flavor and enhances the tuna’s moist, buttery texture, delivering a remarkably rich and nuanced taste.

This is an absolutely incredible throw/blanket, especially for the price. Beautiful neutral color that will go with any decor. I own four Lola blankets at over $299 each (gulp) and these absolutely rival that brand in both quality and overall value. The faux fur/mink feels exactly the same for both brands. The only visible difference is that the back side of the WDCOZY brand is lined in a different material which also has a great quality feel and texture to it, very luxe. I've already ordered several more for Christmas gifts and for our AirBNB. I photographed the WDCOZY on the left comparing it to the Lola on the right. You can see how much fluffier the WDCOZY brand is. Highly recommend!
