玛库和玛塔从冬眠中醒来，对外面的世界,充满了好奇。爸爸说:“用不了多久，春天就要来到这片森林了。”“春天？”玛库和玛塔从没见过春天。在爸爸妈妈的描述里，“春天”，是暖暖的风、绿叶子、五颜六色的花、还带着香香的味道。

第二天，冷风停了。玛库和玛塔迫不及待地出去寻找“春天”了。它们努力地四处寻找，还大声地呼喊“春天”。它们吵醒了其他还在冬眠的小动物，还以为见到了“春天”。得知小动物们并不是春天后，它们有点失望。“春天，到底在哪儿呢？”

这时，它们遇见了一个穿着绿外套，扎着黄色蝴蝶结，戴着红围巾的小女孩。绿的、红的、黄的……这就是春天吧！小女孩送给玛库和玛塔香喷喷、热乎乎的蛋挞，它们找到“春天”，高高兴兴地回家了。在它们身后，树叶和小草绿了，五颜六色的花开了。
