Setup and experience

Setup is easy—bring AirTag close to your device and pair by tapping Connect, just like AirPods

Say things like, “Hey Siri, find my wallet” or use the Find My app to play a sound on the built-in speaker on AirTag, so you can easily locate your things when they are nearby

If you’ve left something farther behind, put your AirTag in Lost Mode, and if it’s detected by a device in the Find My network, you’ll get a notification on your iPhone or iPad and be able to see its location

You can enter a phone number so someone who finds your AirTag will know how to reach you

Find My

The Find My network is made up of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that help you find your AirTag and other Apple devices, even when they are offline

The whole process is anonymous and end-to-end encrypted to protect your privacy

Precision Finding

If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone can lead you to it with Precision Finding—which shows you the distance and direction to head in, thanks to the Ultra Wideband technology built into AirTag and select iPhone models

Privacy
