Take control of cable chaos with the Middle Atlantic Forward 3" Wire Grid Lace Cable Management. This practical, high-performance accessory is designed to drop into the front-to-back slots of Lever Lock rackrail brackets on the BGR, DWR, and SR Series racks, delivering a secure, open-grid surface that makes routing cables intuitive and scalable. The 3-inch width strikes a balance between maximum cable capacity and preserving valuable rack space, enabling clean, organized installations in mid-sized racks without compromising airflow or accessibility. Built to accommodate racks configured for 41 RU to 42 RU, the Forward Lace is ideal for professional audio-visual setups, broadcast environments, data centers, and IT closets where neat cable runs translate into faster maintenance, easier upgrades, and better thermal performance. Its grid pattern supports both vertical and horizontal routing, empowering technicians to separate critical cable bundles, minimize interference, and trace routes with ease. The drop-in installation minimizes downtime and eliminates the need for complex mounting hardware, so teams can deploy, reconfigure, and re-route cables in minutes. Durable by design, the lace maintains its shape under typical rack loads and provides a stable platform for ongoing cable management as equipment evolves. In short, this Forward Lace is a smart, future-proof investment for anyone who values orderly cables, professional presentation, and reliable rack performance.

  • Seamless drop-in installation into Lever Lock rackrail brackets—drop the lace into front-to-back slots for a fast, tool-free setup that keeps projects on schedule and on budget. The straightforward installation minimizes downtime during rack migrations or equipment changes, allowing technicians to move quickly from one configuration to the next while preserving a tidy, professional look.
  • Open-grid design supports clean, dual-direction routing of power and data cables; at 3 inches wide, it offers generous capacity without crowding adjacent equipment or obstructing airflow. The grid pattern gives you flexible paths for cable management, plus the ability to re-route cables as needed for audits, upgrades, or equipment swaps all while maintaining clean, professional cable runs.
  • Rugged construction resists sag and deformation under load, maintaining grid integrity through frequent cable changes and long-term use in demanding environments. This reliability translates into fewer maintenance calls and a lower risk of misrouted cables during busy production or data center cycles.
  • Engineered for exact compatibility with Middle Atlantic BGR, DWR, and SR Series racks, ensuring a precise, secure fit in standard 41 RU to 42 RU configurations. The integration with Lever Lock rails provides a snug, vibration-resistant interface that stays in place during transport or rack moves.
  • Helps improve cable organization, inventory control, and maintenance efficiency by providing a predictable routing canvas that technicians can rely on during audits or upgrades. A consistent grid helps technicians quickly identify cables, trace routes, and document changes, contributing to better IT governance and facility management.

how to install Middle Atlantic Forward 3 Inch Wide Wire Grid Lace, Fits 41 RU To 42 RU

Follow these straightforward steps to install the Forward 3" Wire Grid Lace quickly and safely in your rack system. This process is designed to minimize downtime and maximize the efficiency of your team during both initial deployments and future reconfigurations.

  • Prepare the rack by locating the Lever Lock rackrail brackets and ensuring the front-to-back slots are accessible. Clear the area around the rails and verify that the rack is stable before beginning installation.
  • Align the Lace precisely with the rack rails and drop it into the front-to-back slots on the Lever Lock brackets. Make sure the grid sits flush against the rack face and that there are no gaps that could snag cables.
  • Push or slide the grid forward until the lace seats securely within the rack rails and lies flush with adjacent panels. Verify that the edges are level and that there is no bending or warping in the grid structure.
  • Begin routing cables across the grid, separating power and data paths where possible to maximize airflow and ease future changes. Use minimal bend radii and organize bundles with reuse-friendly ties or clips to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Verify clearance and airflow after installation; adjust cable bundles as needed to maintain neat organization and rack performance. Periodically inspect the grid during routine maintenance to ensure continued alignment and access for dynamic cabling needs.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What racks is this lace compatible with? A: It’s designed for Middle Atlantic BGR, DWR, and SR Series racks that use Lever Lock rackrail brackets, tailored to 41 RU–42 RU configurations for a secure, drop-in fit. If you operate a non-Middle Atlantic system, check rail compatibility before installation.
  • Q: How wide is the lace? A: It is 3 inches wide, providing ample space for cable bundles while preserving rack density and airflow. The width accommodates multiple cables of various diameters and can simplify organization in compact setups.
  • Q: Is installation tool-free? A: Yes. The lace drops into the front-to-back slots of Lever Lock brackets, allowing a quick, tool-free installation that can be completed by a single technician. For best results, handle the grid gently to avoid any bending during placement.
  • Q: Can I route both power and data cables on the grid? A: Absolutely. The open-grid pattern supports vertical and horizontal routing; however, keep power and data separation in mind to minimize interference and simplify maintenance. Plan cable paths ahead of time to maximize airflow and minimize heat buildup.
  • Q: Where can I get exact specifications? A: The product is designed to fit 41–42 RU Middle Atlantic racks and uses a 3" wide grid; for full technical specifications, refer to official product documentation and rack compatibility guides from Middle Atlantic or authorized distributors.

Beautiful Acacia Boards That Actually Feel Premium and Thoughtfully Made
I’ve gone through a lot of wooden cutting boards over the years, and these immediately stood out as feeling much higher quality than most sets in this price range. The acacia wood has a really rich, attractive grain pattern and the boards arrived smooth, solid, and well finished with no rough spots, cracks, or cheap “composite wood” feel. What initially caught my attention was the fact that these are marketed as non-toxic and free from mineral oil. Most people don’t think much about what wooden kitchen products are treated with, but I appreciated that these use a natural blend instead of petroleum-based mineral oil. The boards had a very clean, natural wood smell out of the box instead of that chemical/oily smell some cheaper boards have. The three-size setup is honestly perfect for daily kitchen use. I find myself constantly rotating between them: the large board for meal prep and meats the medium board for vegetables the small one for fruit, cheese, garlic, herbs, etc. The engraved food icons are also a surprisingly nice touch because they help keep things organized and reduce cross contamination without looking tacky. A few other things I really liked: They’re lightweight enough to move around easily but still feel sturdy - The wood is gentle on knives - The groove catches juices well - They look nice enough to double as serving boards - Packaging was clean and plastic-free/minimal Like any real wood cutting board, you absolutely need to: - hand wash only - dry them after use - occasionally recondition the wood If you expect dishwasher-safe convenience, these probably aren’t for you. But if you want attractive, natural wood boards that feel healthier and more intentional than cheap plastic boards, these are excellent. Overall, these feel like a genuinely thoughtful kitchen product rather than generic mass-produced boards with a trendy “eco” label slapped on them. Very happy with them so far.

Beautiful in appearance and quality
I've been using these for several months and I love them. They're sturdy and great quality, not to mention so beautiful. They do of course scratch up as you use your knife on them which is to be expected with wood but I plan to give them a little sanding soon and an oiling with the oil they provided. I would definitely recommend.

Ignore the bad reviews, read mine!
Pictures don’t make you think much, but in-person these are beautiful and well made. I’ve been trying to replace everything with cleaner safer alternatives. Honestly I love everything this brand offers and stands for! Some things to think about when you see other peoples negative reviews. Since these cutting boards are all around safe and clean with no toxic coating’s that most have to make them last longer, they do require more maintenance, when people don’t follow that maintenance you get a warped or cracked board. Also they are not meant to last as long as your plastic one from Walmart, they should be replaced more often. Luckily for a pack of 3, and I’ll say again that are TRULY non toxic, they are super reasonably priced! For what they offer I would even pay more for these. They do also come with instructions on how to care for them! So if you are the type of person to leave things dirty, or wet in the sink, these are probably not for you. For anyone who doesn’t mind taking the extra minute these are a must (literally a quick wipe, rinse and hand dry, it’s nothing). Gives me a breathe of fresh air to know I’m using safe, and clean products.

Cutting boards will splinter
A lot of the reviews that are saying these wooden boards splinter are true. I was excited to find some nontoxic wooden cutting boards for such a great price. Upon arrival, they seemed pretty decent quality when I pulled them out of the package. I proceeded to use the large one so I gave it a quick rinse with warm water and was taken back by fumes coming off the cutting board and then wiped it down with a white paper towel and my paper towel was brown. I was a little discouraged, but decided to give it a better rinse with a soap, free brush. At that point once I dried it off whatever coding was on it came off and it was rough and splinters everywhere. Definitely a little upset that the splinters could’ve ended up in our food. These are not good quality non-toxic cutting boards I would rather spend a little extra money on a quality board that is not going to sprinter Wood shavings into my food.
