- Featuring a high-performance composite shaft and high-density foam injected blade and paddle, Sherwood has aimed to pour all of its technology into a foam core stick that combines the lightweight of the composite shaft with the soft feel of the foam paddle and blade, giving the goalie the best of both worlds.
- Looking to develop better qualities than the SL700 series of stick, Sherwood focused heavily on improving blade durability for the GS650. The result is a new design called CSF Blade technology. Short for Carbon Seal Finish, the CSF blade design features a new high strength carbon fiber plate that is applied to both sides of the blade, creating a sandwich structure type effect in sealing the blade closed. The carbon plate is built with several layers of extremely durable and light high modulus carbon fiber, protecting the interior foam core while keeping the stick feel the same. The new CSF blade results in improved blade bonding, significantly improved durability, and helps prevent premature breakage.
- Designing a better blade wasn't the only thing that went into the GS650 stick. Sherwood developed a new shaft technology, the Duralight shaft, constructed of high modulus carbon fiber and double concave walls for goalies to maintain a secure grip while playing the puck. The shaft runs through the heel of the blade to prevent the stick from becoming soft over time and optimizes responsiveness and performance of the stick.
- Lastly, Sherwood engineers have developed a brand new Foamcor tech, a Proprietary foam material used throughout the line of goal sticks. With the Foamcor technology, the GS series of sticks will feature a slightly thicker blade that is stiffer and more impact resistant.
- Regular: This means that you have the blocker on the right hand together with the stick. Also then you have the catcher in the left hand. Then you need "Regular" for blocker, catcher and stick.
- Full right: This means that you have the blocker on the left hand together with the stick.

Great Teething Toy for an Active Puppy
Our 6-month-old Goldendoodle has really enjoyed chewing on these rings. They’ve been especially helpful while she’s been teething, and so far she hasn’t made a dent in them, which is impressive given how much she chews.
There’s clearly some sort of flavor or scent on the toy that makes it especially attractive to her, so it keeps her engaged much longer than some other chew toys we’ve tried.
The rings feel durable, well made, and are a great way to keep an active puppy occupied. Highly recommend for teething puppies or dogs that are aggressive chewers.

Super hard plastic
This might be okay for big dogs but my little dogs are not interested at all. I’ve heard if you can’t make an indentation w/ your thumb nail, it’s too hard and your dog could chip or break a tooth…

My aggressive chewer had it roughed up in about 10 minutes, and she lost interest.
Both of my dogs were interested in these right away and started playing with them as soon as I gave them to them. After the first day though, they lost interest. They’ve had them for a couple of weeks now and I can’t really get them to go back to them. These aren’t squeaky toys, which is usually what they prefer, so that may be part of it.
The size is decent and works for both of my dogs. My smaller dog isn’t much of an aggressive chewer, but she did chew on it some.
My bigger dog is an aggressive chewer (about 85 lbs), and she had this one roughed up pretty quickly. After about 10 minutes, it already had some sharp, jagged edges. That makes me a little concerned about safety since it could scratch her mouth.
As far as chew resistance and durability, it didn’t hold up the way I expected for something advertised for aggressive chewers. For value, it’s not the best considering how quickly it wore down and the lack of continued interest from my dogs.

Finally a toy that isn’t destroyed in 7 minutes
This really is virtually indestructible! My dog is an aggressive tour and she has given this thing the business more often than not, and it does not even have a hole in it! My dog enjoys it immensely! It’s easy to take places. I love that it’s bright yellow and easy to see so I don’t trip over it! Definitely suitable for aggressive chewers!
