Copies of the original 2010 vinyl press are very hard to find and extremely sought after. NAKED will press an initial run of just 700 copies. Each copy is hand numbered.
The album was pressed on stunning transparent black eco-friendly vinyl and packaged in a beautiful eco-friendly sleeve which will be updated for 2023 but true to the original artwork.
Achieving the highest possible sound quality is crucially important to NAKED and this album been lovingly re-mastered for this 2023 re-issue by renowned mastering professor Johanz Westerman.
NAKED's 5th release - The Five Ghosts by Stars - was NAKED's first record to be pressed by Green Vinyl Records (GVR) in the Netherlands. GVR has pioneered a brand new way of pressing vinyl records and created the World's first vinyl pressing machine which uses injection moulding rather than traditional steam pressing. It is the use of steam (with the associated water boilers and condensers) which give traditional vinyl pressing plants their huge carbon footprints. Early GVR analysis showed energy savings of 80-90% (compared to traditional vinyl pressing machines).
