SPF 20 Sun Milk protects delicate skin against the harmful rays of the sun while helping prevent sun damage. 100% Mineral Sun Protection, Certified Organic by ICEA (Italian certification) Mineral based sunscreens work by providing a protective shield that reflects the sun’s rays to protect the skin from sunburn. They contain particles of minerals such as Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide to block the suns UV rays. Synthetic sunscreens are absorbed into the skin to act as a filter instead. It takes around 20 minutes for a synthetic sunscreen to develop after application whereas mineral sunscreens are effective immediately. Karanja oil (the common name for Pongamia Glabra) is derived from the seeds of the Millettia Pinnata tree, Karanja oil contains two unique molecules, pongamol and karanjin both of which are used in SPF50 Sun Milk as natural and effective UVA and UVB absorbers and SPF boosters.
