The House of Odiot is one of Pariss most storied silver houses, with Jean Baptiste Claude Odiot registering his mark in 1797.

An antique French sterling silver tray, serving plate, or charger from the House of Odiot, Paris, c. 1894–1906. The circular tray with deep well has a raised rim and acanthus leaf details. Excellent weight and size at 1,036 grams (33.3 troy ounces) and 13½" in diameter. The tray has received a light polishing.
The House of Odiot is one of Paris’s most storied silver houses, with Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot registering his mark in 1797. The company remains in business today, though Gustave Odiot was the last family member to direct it.
Hallmarks & Provenance
French sterling silver, .950, 1st Titre. Marked with the Minerva 1st standard mark and the Odiot Lamp mark with PR Cie — used between 1894 and 1906 for the company formed by Gustave Odiot, Emile Provost, and Paul Edouard Recipon.

Condition
Excellent overall. Light surface scratches in the centre, a few small dimples, and a light ding to the inside rim — all in accordance with age and use. Has received a light polishing.
