Overview:

The Dinan/Brembo rear brakes offer the ultimate in stopping power for the most demanding driving enthusiast. Extensive testing on the street and at the track has enabled us to develop custom systems that have been tuned for optimum performance while avoiding the foibles of typical "big brake kits," such as unbalanced proportioning, poor pedal feel and unacceptable noise levels, just to name a few. The brake calipers are available in either red or black, giving you the choice of a stealth or competition look. Dinan's custom brake pads and kits have been specially designed for use with the BMW brake wear sensors to keep the safety system fully functional something that is lost in competitors kits. In most cases the large rotors and calipers will require the use of aftermarket wheels for adequate brake clearance. Most of Dinan's lightweight performance wheels are recommended providing proper clearance and the ability to fit the largest tires possible for optimum performance. Be sure to check with the manufacturer or distributor of the wheels you are considering in order to verify that they offer the necessary clearance citing the Brembo "Gran Turismo" brakes as a reference.

Not worth the paper it’s printed on.
Format: Paperback
I can’t say that I was expecting such a slim volume on 10,000 years of Chinese culture to be a work of rigorous scholarship, but I also wasn’t expecting it to be quite *this* dreadful. It is badly written to the point of being unreadable, and it is clear that no one thought to edit the document before publication. I made it about twenty pages in before I had to put it down. The entire thing reads like an Anthropology 101 term paper written by a first semester college freshman who hasn’t quite figured out how to back up claims with evidence yet.

It all makes sense now
Format: Kindle
This book covers Ancient Chinese History, Starting from the Settlement at the Yellow River through the Xia, Shang, Zhou, and Qin Dynasties to the Han Dynasty. This should ring a bell for some folks as this is the period around the Yellow River shows the early development of man in this region. Ancient Chinese history is a tapestry of remarkable achievements, cultural developments, and political transitions that unfolded over thousands of years. It all began with the settlement at the Yellow River, where early agricultural communities emerged around 5000 BCE. This period witnessed the gradual transition from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settled farming communities, marking the foundation of Chinese civilization. From this fertile ground, the Xia Dynasty rose in the 21st century BCE, establishing the first recorded dynasty in Chinese history. Although little written evidence remains, the Xia period laid the groundwork for future dynasties, fostering advancements in agriculture, irrigation systems, and early forms of government. The subsequent Shang Dynasty (16th–11th century BCE) witnessed great cultural achievements, including the development of a complex writing system and the creation of magnificent bronze artworks. It was during this era that the concept of the Mandate of Heaven emerged, which stated that rulers' legitimacy depended on their ability to govern effectively. Following the fall of the Shang Dynasty, the Zhou Dynasty (1046–256 BCE) emerged and introduced the feudal system, characterized by a decentralized government. This era saw the flourishing of philosophy, with notable thinkers like Confucius and Laozi influencing Chinese thought for centuries to come. The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE) unified China under the rule of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, bringing about remarkable political and administrative reforms. It standardized currency, measurements, and writing systems, and constructed the Great Wall of China. Although short-lived, the Qin Dynasty paved the way for the subsequent Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) was a period of significant cultural and technological advancements. It expanded the empire's territorial reach, established the Silk Road, and embraced Confucianism as the official ideology. The Han Dynasty left a lasting legacy, shaping the Chinese state and society for centuries. Through these pivotal dynasties, Ancient Chinese history witnessed the development of a rich and enduring civilization, with contributions that continue to influence the world today.
