The Snugpak Expanda Panel Summer is compatible with Snugpak Softie 3 Merlin, Softie 6 Kestrel, Softie 9 Hawk, and the Softie Tactical 2 sleeping bags. The sleeping bag panel is a zip in wedge that adds 16 inches of chest room to the sleeping bag and tapers gradually to the foot of the bag. The Expanda Panel Summer is equipped with Softie Premier synthetic insulation, which is washable and provides superior heat retention. The randomized fine filament fibers of Softie Premier insulation trap warm air to retain heat even when thoroughly wet. Softie Premier insulation does not lose thermal characteristics over time, even when stored in the compression stuff sack for long periods of time without use. The Expanda Panel Summer also features Paratex Steelplate as the outer shell to provide a breathable, water wicking, water repellent, and windproof sleeping bag panel. The inner lining of the expander panel is constructed with Paratex Light, a durable, windproof, breathable lightweight fabric that provides an efficient water wicking system to keep you warm and dry. The Expanda Panel Summer comes with its own convenient stuff sack and weighs only 11 ounces. quality matches cost + instructions unnecessarily tedious

The material is real wood but don't assume that means quality - it's still very cheap feeling, and very lightweight. But once installed they are quite stable, and they look great from afar. I got a darker colored one and the stain does come off very easily. One of the shelves had a huge manufacturer sticker on it and it took off the stain when I removed it, and a bit of the stain also came off when I wiped the shelves down with a wet cloth. It'll be dry dusting from now on, I suppose.
Also, they did not fit snugly into the corner - when one side is pushed flush to the wall, it forces the other side to pull away from the wall a little bit. It wasn't a drastic space, maybe like 1/8th of an inch, but it is still something to note. I am fine with the cheap quality as they are, after all, pretty cheap, so I'd say they are worth exactly as much as they cost. Personally I am happy with the purchase - just thought I'd warn.
Secondly - if you want to follow the instructions exactly, you will need two people unless you have inhuman agility. But I also think the instructions were a bit asinine and tedious. They want you to line up the LOOSE shelf and brackets with a leveler to mark where the brackets go on the wall, then put in the wall screws, hang the brackets on them, balance the shelf on the brackets to mark on the SHELF where the brackets will be attached, take the brackets off the wall to screw them into the shelf, then put the combined shelf-bracket unit once again on the wall screws and finally screw those in tight.
In hindsight, you can just mark where the brackets should go on the SHELF (not wall), screw the brackets into the shelves, THEN level the shelf on the wall and screw the whole unit into the wall together. We were really baffled why the instructions didn't have us do that instead of spending extra time (and frustration) trying to juggle all the loose pieces and tools. But I'm not engineer-minded, nor have I ever installed corner shelves before, so maybe there would be some kind of issue with doing it that way that I can't predict.

Good shelving decor

Easy to install and perfect for a corner display of Disney decor. They are lightweight, so we didn't put anything heavy on them, but the brackets seem sturdy enough that we could probably put something moderately weighty on them.
