Deze plant komt van oorsprong uit de Himalaya, maar komt nu ook veel voor in Noord-Afrika. Extreem rijk aan oliezuur ca 70%, beheenzuur ca 7% , stearinezuur ca 6%, palmetinezuur ca 6% en arachidezuur ca 4%
Moringaolie is een niet drogende olie (door het grote percentage oliezuur), maar trekt wel snel in de huid.
Moringa olie vermindert rimpels en voorkomt stevigheidsverlies van de huid. De olie zit vol met anti-oxidanten die het verouderingsproces vertragen en helpen ter bescherming van vrije radicalen.

Het maakt het haar zachter en glanzender en verlicht de hoofdhuid bij schilfers en een droge huid.Moringa heeft ontstekingsremmende eigenschappen en kan gebruikt worden als lokale anti spot treatment.
