Het resultaat van een 4 jaarontwikkeling M5 Pro is ontworpen in samenwerking met professionele atleten om de grenzen van snelheid en uithoudingsvermogen te verleggen. Het unieke ontwerp, met een ondiepe velgvormverbetert het rijgedrag en vermindert de vermoeidheid van de rijder. De nieuwe carbonconstructie verhoogt 25% meer flexibiliteit van de velg, waardoor hij trillingen en herhaalde schokken effectiever kan absorberen.

Om te voldoen aan de eisen van moderne crosscountrybanden is de M5 Pro een binnenbreedte van 29 mm vooraan en 27 mm achteraan. Dit ontwerp zorgt voor een betere ondersteuning van de band en optimaliseert tegelijkertijd de stabiliteit en het rijcomfort. Ondanks deze grotere afmetingen is ENVE erin geslaagd een velg aan te bieden die breder, ondieper en lichter is dan de vorige generatie.

Tot slot is de M5 Pro beschikt over gepatenteerde Brede haakloze kraaltechnologie, die het risico op afknellen van de band vermindert door 23 % en de schokbestendigheid verbetert. De achtervelg heeft daarentegen een dikkere wand om het risico op lekrijden te verkleinen, waardoor uitzonderlijke duurzaamheid op de meest veeleisende XC-parcoursen wordt gegarandeerd.
