ArtiSons is een creatieve uitlaatklep voor de familie van Stellenrust Estate. De ‘broers’ van Stellenrust, Tertius & Kobe slaagden erin om na tien jaar kleine experimentele creaties te produceren, afkomstig uit de meest exclusieve en oudere wijngaarden. De ArtiSons wijnen zijn geproduceerd op basis van creativiteit en vakmanschap. 

De After Eight Shiraz is een unieke wijn afkomstig uit een 22 jaar oude wijngaard in Bottelary, gelegen naast een rij eucalyptusbomen. De druiven komen van een klein geïsoleerde locatie van  0,2 hectare groot. Door deze specifiek geïsoleerde locatie waar de druif groeit, komen de smaken van peper, viooltjes, bosbessen en munt optimaal tot uiting. 

De wijn wordt vervolgens via een zwaartekracht druppelsysteem naar de kelder overgebracht, waar de wijn in een vatenkamer terechtkomt. Hier wordt een zachte persing toegepast, waarbij 8% verse stelen opnieuw worden toegevoegd om de balans van tannine en kleur te optimaliseren. De malolactische gisting vindt plaats in het vat, waarna de wijn 18 maanden rijpt op 50% nieuw Frans eiken en 50% ouder Frans eiken.
