De whisky is een combinatie van 3 bourbon barrels en 1 sherry butt. Neus: De neus vult zich met exotisch geel fruit met daarbij hars en gekneusde dennennaalden, gebakken banaan in vanille met karamel en Werther’s Echte. Smaak: Het prachtige mondgevoel zorgt ervoor dat de smaken perfect worden ervaren, met geel en goud fruit met warmere invloeden van karamel en witte chocolade, waarna het dennenbos weer overneemt. Nergens scherp, nergens te veel. Afdronk: Ook de afdronk is heerlijk smaakvol, maar ook soepel en zorgt ervoor dat je verlangt naar nog een glaasje.

Ballindalloch Estate met in het hart Ballindalloch Castle ligt in het centrum van de grootste whisky producerende regio van Schotland. In de Speyside regio liggen enkele van de meest bekende distilleerderijen, waarvan de whisky’s zeer populair zijn over de gehele wereld. In 2014 volgde Guy Macpherson-Grant in de voetsporen van zijn voorvader door te beginnen met de bouw van de Ballindalloch Distillery, net aan de andere oever van de Avon, vlakbij de plek waar deze in de Spey rivier uitmondt. De Ballindalloch Distillery is in 2015 officieel geopend (de productie was al gestart aan het einde van 2014) door toenmalig prins en de huidige koning Charles en zijn vrouw Camilla.
