Programma

Zorg in de laatste levensfase volgt zelden een vast script. Tijdens dit EPC-congres staan we stil bij de realiteit van palliatieve zorg: de uitdagingen, de emoties en de kracht van menselijke verbinding.

Via een unieke theatervoorstelling en verdiepende workshops verkennen we hoe zorgverleners omgaan met complexe situaties in de palliatieve zorg. Het wordt een inspirerende dag met ruimte voor reflectie, ontmoeting en praktische inzichten.

Theater van de laatste dagen is een voorstelling over het werken in de palliatieve zorg.
Ada Vogelezang krijgt onder wonderlijke omstandig heden een huis vol bedden met daarin palliatieve patiënten. Zelf uit de zorgsector komende redt ze zich aardig, al kan ze de wijze hulp van de oude Van Haaren niet ontberen. Hij leert haar ‘de wetten’ van de palliatieve zorg.

Docenten

Workshop 'De rouwende familie'
Annelien Tack is psychologe bij Palliatief Netwerk Omega.
Ze heeft jarenlange ervaring bij het palliatief support team van het UZ Brussel.

Vicky Van de Velde is zelfstandig klinisch psychologe met expertise in palliatieve zorg, levenseinde en rouw. Ze werkt sinds 2008 met deze thema’s in verschillende zorgsettings, waaronder het palliatief support team van het UZ Brussel, de palliatieve thuiszorg en de ouderenzorg. In 2024 richtte ze Good Mourning op, een initiatief dat organisaties helpt om rouw en verlies bespreekbaar te maken op de werkvloer.

Workshop 'Existentiële zorg - werken met levensverhalen'
Herman Vanarwegen is verbonden aan Amfora. Amfora helpt mensen om te praten over het afscheid van het leven.

Workshop 'Omgaan met complexe banden en dynamieken'
Steunpunt mantelzorg biedt informatie, ondersteuning en begeleiding rond mantelzorg, via onder meer een nieuwsbrief, infosessies, vormingen, advies op maat en hulp bij vragen over zorgsituaties.

Escape game 'palliatieve zorg'
Lindsay Cool is palliatief deskundige en hoofdverpleegkundige bij Palliatief Netwerk Omega
Dennis Demedts is docent bij Erasmushogeschool Brussel en postdoc onderzoeker
