Het doel van Villa Wolf is om wijnen te produceren die het pure, authentieke terroir van de Pfalz uitdrukken. De Rieslings zijn droger en vol van smaak in de klassieke Pfalz-stijl. B. Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris of Pinot Noir uitgebreid. Om de van nature hoge kwaliteit van de wijngaarden te behouden, vertrouwen ze op duurzame wijnbouwpraktijken en hechten ze veel belang aan een zorgvuldige omgang met het fruit door middel van traditionele, minimalistische wijnbereiding.

Handmatige oogst voor Villa Wolf Pinot Gris

De wijngaarden van Villa Wolf Pinot Gris worden met respect voor het milieu verbouwd en met de hand geoogst. De trossen zijn geselecteerd met een optimale rijpheid om een frisse en heldere wijn te produceren. Pinot Gris is een inheemse variëteit van Pfalz. Villa Wolf Pinot Gris fermenteert in drie soorten tanks: in roestvrijstalen tanks, grote neutrale eikenhouten vaten en cementtanks. De wijn ondergaat geen malolactische gisting om de zuurgraad te behouden en de wijn is fris en levendig. Er blijft een beetje restsuiker over om het een beetje zoet te maken en een evenwicht te vinden met de zuurgraad. Ten slotte wordt het voorzichtig gefilterd en wordt de coupage uitgevoerd voordat het wordt gebotteld.

Hoe smaakt de Villa Wolf Pinot Gris?

De Pinot Gris van Villa Wolf kleurt lichtgeel in het glas waarbij we direct kunnen genieten van de heerlijke fruitaroma’s van peer, rijpe appel en wat citrus. De smaak is licht kruidig, sappig, droog met een aangenaam zuurtje. Ook in de smaak komen de fruittonen mooi naar voren. Een wijn waarbij je het moeilijk bij 1 glas houdt. Een absolute aanrader dus!
