Extra Tip's
- Gebruik niet te grof hooi in deze slowfeeder
- Als je paard nog geen slowfeeder gewend is kan het zijn dat je paard het eten hieruit moet leren. Begin dan eerst met een iets grotere maas en stap later over naar een kleiner maas als dat vanwege dieet maatregelen nodig is. Niet ieder paard lukt het meteen zonder overgang.
- Heeft je paard een langere tijd geen voeding gehad, bijv. na de nacht, geeft dan naast het hooi in de slowfeeder ook een plukje los hooi om de eerste behoefte te stillen. Probeer de periodes zonder ruwvoer niet langer te laten duren dan 3 uur.
Gebruik deze Slowfeeder op een veilige manier:
- Let op met paarden met hoefijzers bij gebruik in een vrije omgeving.
- Draag zorg voor het sluitkoord, zodat hiermee geen onverwachte ongelukken kunnen ontstaan.
- Hang het hooinet niet te hoog en niet altijd op dezelfde plaats.

Pretty hard to clean

We've had this for about a week now. I have 2 dogs, one small one about 55lb. I bought this for my big girl, but lil man is determined to get the best of this toy. Usually they don't both go after the same toys, so this is interesting.
The trouble is, neither one of them can get all the treats out if something makes it all the way down into the crevice. It's surprisingly deep. The up side is that they'll try for quite a while before giving up. The down side is even if you put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, something stuck deep in there isn't going anywhere until you dig it out yourself.
I tried a plastic knife but it broke the second time I used it in there. I wound up using the metal handle of a reusable straw cleaner. Which then I had to wash that, too. Then it needs to dry overnight before it can be used again.
All in all, the dogs like it fine, it's gross to scrape out and wash, takes longer than most toys to dry, and I have the feeling that will eventually cause me to pass it to someone else's dog long before my two have gotten tired of it. At this point I'm pulling out of the toy rotation for a week or two because I'm not ready to clean it a third time.

Hyena Proof

I have an American Bulldog that would chew a brick if he didn’t have an alternative lying around. They won’t last forever (nothing does) but we’ve had two of these over the course of a year and for him that is nothing short of a miracle. And that is daily chewing like it’s his job. I highly recommend the Acornucopia for aggressive chewers with jaws like hyenas…so it’s probably great for your dog too.

This is a great ball for my dog Polly! It doesn't stink or have any weird oils on the ball. It is definitely durable. It has a nice chirping sound and it's great exercise for my dog's jaws. It's not too bouncy and it's the perfect weight that she feels satisfied having in her mouth and when she catches it in mid-air. It's not too heavy that I have to worry about it knocking her teeth out. I almost cancelled the order after I found out the size of the ball, I thought it was a larger ball that Bark makes. It turns out it is larger than a tennis ball which is what I wanted. Someone gave us a black, knobby, ball that is 12.5 inches in diameter and she absolutely loves it, it's her favorite ball. It's the perfect size for her American Pit Bull mouth! I cannot find this product anywhere or a comparable alternative that's the same size. If you know where I can purchase another ball that I've described @ 12.5 in. diameter, please let me know! I'll likely buy this ball that was just delivered, today, in the future, if it's not discontinued! It's a great deal for only $14.99!! Thanks from a happy satisfied customer, V.B.
