Auteur Vanja van der Leeden toont met de nodige zelfspot en relativering hoe zij een balans vond in haar eetgedrag. In Insane laat ze zien hoe ze doorgaans thuis eet. Dat is altijd lekker en ‘best gezond’. Want als ze één ding geleerd heeft in haar zoektocht naar een gezond eetpatroon, is dat je er vooral niet te streng en dogmatisch mee om moet gaan.

Insane is een vrolijk boek bomvol smaak. De recepten zijn verrassend, toegankelijk en nagelopen door een diëtist. Het geheel is op unieke wijze vastgelegd door Vanja’s man en culinair fotograaf Remko Kraaijeveld.

I have owned this scale for several months now and have had no complains. It is quick to read when adding beans. I have really enjoyed having the built in stopwatch. Some reviews say they would rather have a timer, but I really haven't felt the need for one. I have found that it is accurate with .3-.5 grams which is entirely reasonable for the price and for my use, pour over. In case it wasn't obvious, I would not recommend this for pulling shots of espresso as it is rather large and less accurate than you would want. I find it funny when people think they are going to get an ultra accurate, precise scale at this price point. If you want something accurate, you will have to pay more for it, but for the person who wants to step up their coffee game from using volumetric measurements, this is a great deal.
