Slippery Elm Block SE146 2.8" x 2.9" x 11.6"Slippery Elm Block SE146 2. 8" x 2. 9" x 11. 6" 1. 9 lbs. This is a nice end grain block of Slippery Elm (aka Red Elm). It has a beautiful warmth to the wood, with color of light reddish brown with a few charcoal colored streaks. The grain on this piece is long and straight, slightly inclined to the long axis. There are a few scattered small knots that add character to the grain. It's been air dried to a moisture content of 10 12%.
