The Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s Left Handed brings the southpaw the iconic formula of the Les Paul back to where it all began. After listening to various players and artists requests to void the Les Paul Standard of eccentric features perhaps plaguing the model over the years, Gibson absolutely delivered with the Les Paul Standard '50s, a part of the Gibson Original Collection.

This Les Paul is a solid, non-weight relieved Mahogany guitar, just as a prime vintage year model would be. Its AA Flame Maple top is finished in Gloss Nitrocellulose Heritage Cherry Sunburst, a timeless Les Paul stylistic element. The Les Paul Standard '50s also features a solid mahogany glued-in set neck with 50s Vintage profile, Rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets

Completing the vintage aesthetic is a set of Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. The tuners are activated by the most advanced state-of-the-art tried and true mechanism available - your hands! Yes, gone are the robotic tuners of Les Paul Standards past. It is another back to basics approach intended to please most fans of the Les Paul, need they not even be referred to as "Purists".

For electronics, this Les Paul Standard '50s is loaded with a set of Gibson Burstbucker pickups, with a Burstbucker 1 in the neck/rhythm position, and a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge position. These pickups are unpotted and incorporate Alnico 2 magnets for vintage-inspired tone, with a DC resistance of 7.8K and 8.4K, respectively.

Under the hood, the Les Paul Standard '50s receives the proper treatment of hand-soldered CTS Audio Taper volume and tone pots, wired to Orange Drop Capacitors. Gone are the pre-wired PCB wiring harnesses of the past. This Les Paul is dynamic, responsive, and a thrill to play.

With the Les Paul Standard '50s, Gibson has returned their flagship guitar to its celebrated glory.

Timex Ironman watches are junk. They were once bullet proof but are just junk these days.

Solid Watch 2 Months In TLDR, would buy again
Color: Black/Black/Digital
Solid watch so far with a readable face and a comfortable strap. My previous watch was a G-shock DW5600. I chose this for the lap feature and generally liked the appearance. Things I didn’t love: 1) the chronograph displays the mode at the top. I know what mode it’s in, it would be better to have the actual time. 2) this has dual time zones, it’s apparently easy to flip to the second time zone without realizing. I have mine set to US eastern and US central (a one hour difference which begs the question why, and I hear you). But I almost missed 2 events not realizing my wristwatch had jumped back an hour while playing with my kids in the park. 3) I’m still playing with the count down timer function. I messed something up on my first run, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Just something didn’t work intuitively. 4) I didn’t realize how often I had used the indigo equivalent feature on my Gshock as a flash light in low light situations. With the black face this isn’t an option on this watch (I’d still make this trade for the aesthetic). I would buy again just for something fresh after 5+ years with the G-Shock and the lap feature. Probably a little hyper critical focused on the short comings. Water resistance has been tested an no issues after two months.
