Crizu gives old books a second chance: all pages are folded by hand, one by one, with art and patience, until an old volume is transformed into a new and marvelous paper sculpture. The shape of the book changes, but the book remains intact. It can still be read and scrolled through, or one can simply admire its metamorphosis into an object of art and design.
Crizu takes these objects that are imbued with memories and become more beautiful with the passing of time. By folding the pages of such books, elements of history, culture, and beauty are brought to the finished piece.
