Join Wingaru educators as they share their knowledge and experience in this comprehensive 5 hour professional development workshop.

This in person professional development workshop is designed to support early childhood educators in building the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills necessary to authentically embed Aboriginal perspectives within their early learning environments.
Through a series of hand-on, practical activites participants will:
- Gain confidence in developing culturally safe environments where Aboriginal perspectives are woven meaningfully and authentically into daily routines and curriculum.
- Explore how connecting to Country can support children’s sense of identity, growth, and holistic understanding.

Appreciate the critical importance of integrating Aboriginal perspectives into early childhood education.
- Learn how to select and utilise culturally appropriate resources that support the growth and development of all children within the early learning context.
- Consider the importance of building and maintaining respectful relationships with local Aboriginal communities, emphasising ways of working to encourage ongoing, meaningful engagement.
At the end of the workshop educators will have gained the confidence and practical tools to embed Aboriginal perspectives effectively, creating learning environments that promote cultural safety, respect, and inclusion.
Practical activities are designed to ensure participants leave the workshop equipped with tangible skills and ideas that can be directly implemented in their educational settings.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion for their records and take away a resource pack to share with their service.
