Design
Like the existing Titan the EVO3 Super Titan redefines what is possible for high current, low impedance power cleaning technology. It is designed to meet and exceed the specific demands of high-end power amplifiers. In terms of current delivery it is twice as powerful as the EVO3 Titan, the 20A version of Super Titan offers up to 4’600W of continuous power, Super Titan is quite simply the world’s most powerful audiophile mains power cleaning system.
EVO3 Super Titan features a redesigned and enhanced version of IsoTek’s unique Direct-Coupled © circuit topology working in combination with a group of four seven-stage filters in a series parallel combination. A simple comparison may be drawn to multiple-cylinder engines. The four sections combine to make one ‘super’ seven-element power cleaner, which is inherently superior to engineering a single larger filter. The circuits comprise of bespoke parts that cover an extremely wide frequency band, aided by specialized choke designs that assume mains problems extend as low as 5Hz. This unique circuit allows amplifiers to release more dynamic range with greater bandwidth, giving increased bass slam and articulation, control and a much larger sound stage with holographic front to back layered imaging. This innovative technology will transform your listening pleasure.
Fashioned from aluminium, Super Titan’s rigid outer casing is cradled in a specially developed support structure called ISIS© (Independent System Isolation Support). The main unit is point-clamped between two panels at the top and bottom, each of which is formed of a special resonance-damping material sandwiched between two ultra-dense plates, with the overall structure supported by four substantial aluminium pillars.
ISIS© was developed in conjunction with Kurt Olbert, the founder of Clearlight Audio and an acknowledged expert in developing proprietary materials for audio applications. Its purpose is two-fold. First, it reduces the effect of airborne vibration and microphony, as well as subsonic vibration and resonance in the device itself, which are detrimental to the performance of electronics. Second, its shape, strength and resonance-damping abilities provide a perfect platform on which to place other components, its stackable design saving space when using more than one IsoTek unit.
EVO3 Super Titan measures 500mm in width, 500mm deep and 300mm high. At the rear are four independent high current output sockets to drive power amplifiers, mono blocks, active loudspeakers or a subwoofer. There is also an Auxiliary connection point (System Link) for adding and powering additional IsoTek power cleaners, for example the placement of EVO3 Genesis or EVO3 Super Nova on top.
Working in combination with IsoTek’s unique Direct-Coupled circuit, are four seven-stage power cleaning networks in a series parallel configuration. This delivers extremely low-impedance and high-current power and is capable of running continuously at 20A. Differential Mode and Common Mode noise are removed with an RFI reduction of around 85db extending down to 5Hz frequency range. The product is ideal for high current components and will deliver a continuous maximum of up to 4’600W from the four rear output sockets.
KERP© (Kirchoff’s Equal Resistance Path) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring is of the highest standard, ultra pure Ohno Continous Cast copper solid core conductor strands with silver-plating, offers low resistance and high amperage. A Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) helix is wound around the conductor before an extruded FEP dielectric protects the conductor and creates a Virtual Dielectric of Air dielectric (FDA). This construction gives unrivalled performance and gives the ultimate low resistance, high performance internal power delivery system. Furthermore, 135’000A of instantaneous protection is provided, safeguarding valuable equipment via IsoTek’s unique sequential and repeatable protection system.
Titan is an excellent upgrade for high current electronics in a high-end audio system improving sound stage, three dimensional imaging, bass articulation, control and a sense of extended frequency range and openness. IsoTek’s award winning Premier power cable is also included.
