In vehicles with rear-wheel drive and a front engine, the drive power from the transmission is transmitted to the rear axle by a propshaft. Due to its length, this shaft is supported in the middle by a propshaft centre support which guides and stabilizes the shaft and prevents the transmission of vibrations to the body during operation.
