This Vox Limited Edition AC15C1 15 Watt 1x12 Tube Combo is a reminder that, while they've been at it for years, it's no secret that Vox has made their share of iconic amps. Now those iconic amps happen to come in some iconic new colors, like this Classic Vintage Red.

The AC15C1 in CVR carries the essence of rock since the amp's inception in the 1950s. Boasting two channels - normal and top boost preamp - alongside reverb, tremolo, and master volume controls, this amplifier epitomizes the quintessential Vox sound, while looking great doing it. Its 15 watts RMS output is powered by three ECC83 / 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power amplifier tubes.

This Vox comes stocked with a 12-inch Celestion G12M Green Back 16 Ohm speaker, delivering an absolutely classic sound. With an array of controls including NORMAL channel volume, TOP BOOST channel volume, tremolo speed, tremolo depth, and master tone cut, the AC15C1 CVR offers a level of versatility that's become synonymous with Vox amps. 

With dimensions of 23.7" x 10.43" x 17.95" and weighing 48.5lbs, this amp comes complete with accessory essentials such as a power cable and VFS2A foot switch.

This is one of the good ones. There are other brands just as good, and manny brands are worse, but this handles well, rolls down easily, doesn't come off at all easily, and adapts to dips and curves like a champ. Appropriately heavy and dead, I'm happy with the way it smothers panel resonances and even at muffling direct sound, like a big hand over my Uncle Harry's eternally noisy mouth. You can rip the foil but you have to work hard at doing that. Remember to buy a brayer; you can roll overlaps nice and thin. Also remember to pre-wipe the sheet metal with a decent solvent like acetone or Stoddard/Varsol. It should last forever.

Good stuff, but watch the temp

I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

Supports DP Alt + Power Delivery from one source
This is one of the very, very few USB-C hubs out there that successfully pushes DisplayPort Alt and 100w PD functionality from one source cable to one device. My monitor has a USB-C DP alt port that also pushes 95w PD and this hub successfully pushes both of those to my laptop, phone, and android handheld console. The marketing material says something about USB PD cannot work with DP alt, but it seems to be working fine for me so who knows. With this little hub in-between the link from the monitor to the device, I can now add a USB ethernet adapter and game controller, and I only ever have to plug one USB-C cable into my device (and I am using a USB4 extension cable with no issues as well) and it all works perfectly!

This adapter is unique in that it supports reverse charging + video on the same port. I use this with an LG monitor (60W PD) and an M1 Pro Mac. At first, I had connectivity issues: hub was disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. I followed advice to update the firmware on the hub, but that didn't solve the issue. Turns out, my monitor also needed a firmware update. Once I updated the monitor firmware, it stabilized and has been working great ever since.
