Il n’est plus besoin de rappeler tout ce que l’on doit à Antonio Florio et à sa Cappela de’Turchini dans l’exploration de la musique napolitaine des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles. Fermement installé à Naples même, ces musiciens d’exception nous ont permis, depuis plus d’une décennie, de découvrir, médusés, les mille ramifications et joyaux d’un monde sonore et théâtral dont l’influence sur toute l’Europe se fit sentir durant toute l’époque baroque, notamment dans le domaine de la musique vocale.
Avec ce disque consacré aux cantates napolitaines, ils font une nouvelle fois revivre la verve irrésistible (des patois locaux d’une étrangeté souvent drôlatique, notamment avec les 4 airs de Giuseppe de Majo, littéralement à mourir de rires) mais aussi la sophistication harmonique de compositeurs parfois connus (Leonardo Leo, l’une des découvertes de ces dernières années), parfois totalement étrangers à nos oreilles contemporaines. Qui se souvient des Giuseppe de Majo, Nicola Ugolino, Niccolo’Grillo ou Nicola Fiorenza, augustes inconnus, certes, mais dont l’art coloré inspira les plus grands compositeurs de ce temps ?
Cet enregistrement possède en outre l’inestimable vertu de proposer des partitions rappelant que Naples fut certes le royaume de la voix mais constitua aussi un lieu d’expérimentation au moins aussi important que Venise ou Rome dans le développement de la littérature instrumentale. On reste pantois devant la beauté du Concerto pour traverso et cordes de Leo, compositeur dont on ne connaissait jusqu’à ce jour que les œuvres vocales. De même, quel compositeur par la suite osa un Concerto pour luth et violons, audace dont Nicolo Ugolino ne se priva guère ? Naples était décidément le lieu de toutes les aventures.
La Cappella de’Turchini livre ici un nouveau témoignage de son talent, mais fait également œuvre utile en dévoilant ces pages capitales dans l’histoire de la musique. Qu’elle nous fasse ce cadeau précieux sans sacrifier son éloquence débridée proverbiale n’en est que plus méritoire.

Comfortable summer wear. Runs a little big and long

This is a very comfortable polo. I can tell from the features that the shirt is pretty much designed for golf.
- Very light weight like tees for runners. It is see through if not for the printed pattern.
- Definitely breathable, perfect for dry weather region. Will keep you dry throughout the round and does not cling onto the body to inhibit motion. Structure stays crisp throughout the round.
- Stretchable, does not restrict motion during golf, sweat or not.
- Longer length to stay tuck in.
Note:
- It runs big overall. The model shown is 6’1” and he is wearing a Medium. Seeing that, I bought a Small even though I normally wear medium. It fits my upper body perfectly with a little room to spare.
- It also runs a little long. It will definitely stay tucked in throughout the round. However, it is too long for me to wear it untucked. I am 5’ 8”.
Overall I like the shirt’s quality and a reasonable price for a golf shirt. It would have been perfect had it not been a little long for untuck wear.

Stylish, Comfortable, and Very Versatile Shirt

This is a very nice‑looking shirt and it fits perfectly for my size. The design really stands out, and the blue color with the white accents looks sharp and clean without being too bold.

#1 Winterwear Choice
My favorite jacket I own. This jacket is not only one of the most stylish articles of clothing I have, but perhaps one of the warmest. When I bought an XL I got an XL, it fits perfect. Its heavy for a denim jacket, but that means it is built with quality. Not only does it have a clean aesthetic, but it is extremely utilitarian: If you're getting a jacket, you're getting it for a purpose. This jacket serves that purpose, in fact it serves multiple. This jacket has deep pockets, so your valubles don't slip out while standing or sitting. The price for this jacket is phenomenal, and almost unreasonable for the manufacturer compared to the actual quality you get. The materials to make this jacket may be inexpensive or cheap, but they certainly don't don't look or feel that way. If this jacket ever tears or gets ruined, I'm just going to buy another honestly. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone who wants quality, warmth, durability, aesthetic, and a budget conscious choice compared to designer brand apparel.

Great Quality
My son Loves this Jacket. He specifically asked for one for Christmas and this one met his every expectation. It is great quality. It is thick and warm without being too bulky. I sized up for him since he is a growing teenager and it still fits great and he will be able to wear it next winter too if he wants.
