The Epiphone Mastertone Classic Banjo is a nod to the iconic Gibson RB-3 Mastertone 5-string banjo from the 1930s that combines vintage aesthetics with modern playability, all at an accessible price point.
This Epiphone Mastertone Classic features a resonator constructed from rich mahogany complemented by a 3-ply mahogany rim. An 11-inch Remo frosted banjo head helps with projection and resonation, known for its crisp, clear sound. The single-ply top and back of the resonator, along with the fretboard, are topped with binding.
A 26.4" scale length figured mahogany neck offers is paired with a laurel fretboard, topped with 22 medium/tall frets, and beautiful Style 3 mother-of-pearl inlays with a Mastertone Block inlay at the end of the fretboard. Equipped with nickel hardware, including a straight-line bridge, tailpiece, and planetary tuners with pearloid buttons, the Mastertone Classic Banjo offers a strudy take on a traditional folk instrument.
Included with the Mastertone Classic Banjo is a sturdy hardshell case.
